#Repost @desseinfurniture・・・If the opportunity presents, I like to work in a new technique or method of joinery into the making process. (mainly for my own self interest). The Pieman table and desk are no exception. We use a series of finger joints to rejoin a cut timber rail and change the direction that it runs. It is a beautifully strong joint that gives no indication of the extreme industrial processes that are used to make it. I think upon reflection this is something that I value very highly. Though I may have put a lot of effort into making a piece of furniture, I don't want it to look like it was a lot of effort. I would rather that effort revealed its self slowly over time. Kind of like Lake Pieman in a way.
